Real-Time Matching EngineThe algorithm continuously scans for compatible matches using a weighted scoring system:
Core Scoring Factors (in order of importance):
Location Proximity (highest weight) – Closer is better, Sport Match – Exact sport or compatible cross-sport (e.g., soccer + futsal), Skill Level Compatibility – ±1 level difference is ideal (you can adjust strictness), Schedule Overlap – Mutual availability windows (including recurring weekly slots), Activity Level – How frequently someone plays and how recently they were active, Community Feedback – Positive ratings and “play again” signals from past matches, Playing Style Alignment – Casual vs competitive preferences
